Hayleigh Santa Stud No. 1948 was registered in 2002. Situated at Durong and operated by Rod, Margaret, Ross, Louisa & Sara Wilson.
We first started breeding Santa’s in 1974 as the Merrarie stud, the Hayleigh stud herd base started as 50% of the Merrarie herd in 2002.
The present herd represents 50 years of Stud breeding. Females have been purchased from Raytek and Shannonbrook Stud dispersals to add to our polled herd.
We aim to breed cattle which mature reasonably early but still grow on to bigger framed cattle.
Since 2002 sires have been sourced from Yarrawonga, Waco, Diamond H, Tyndale, Rosevale, Sujo, Yulgilbar and Warenda.
Our current sires in use are from Dangarfield, Canowindra, Yarabee, Jamar and Cardona Studs.
